Welcome to the beautiful Battle Point neighborhood…

known for its lovely road ends and extensive Battle Point Park. This neighborhood features an array of gorgeous, west-facing waterfront homes, along with several acreage parcels to accommodate larger houses. Home prices in the area are mixed, with homes ranging from a $500,000 older cabin to an expensive $5M estate. Residents of the Battle Point neighborhood can enjoy a quiet, tucked-away lifestyle, as there is virtually no traffic or road noise. You’ll still get your dose of daily interaction, though, since the Battle Point Park trail attracts a lot of walkers.

Battle Point Park

Battle Point Park was once home to a naval radio station but is now a popular park on Bainbridge Island. Situated on 90.3 acres, there is an abundance of open space that includes ponds, jogging trails, a horse area, picnic shelter, a play area and play structure, garden plots, and a golf course. Additionally, there is room for sports with two soccer fields, three softball fields, two tennis courts, two basketball courts, and a roller hockey court. Plus, it’s home to the Battle Point Trail System that consists of two miles of flat, winding trail that loops around the interior of the park and an equestrian trail that circles the park perimeter. This trail also connects to the Fairy Dell Trail and Forest-to-Sky Trail, connecting various other parks throughout Bainbridge Island.

Here’s a fun fact about Fairy Dell Trail — it was used to film “the cedar stump scene” in the movie, Snow Falling on Cedars, which was based on a book by the same name written by David Gutterson, a famous author from Bainbridge Island.

Venice Loop

Venice Loop is a community of homes located in the Battle Point neighborhood with an interesting back story due to its involvement in a real estate scam. In the late 1800s, a real estate developer advertised small, inexpensive, beachfront lots in several East Coast newspapers which garnered substantial interest. However, when the buyers arrived, they were disappointed to find tiny, hilly, and muddy parcels of land — not quite what they had envisioned from the advertisements. Resultantly, very few homes were built there until the small lots were aggregated. Now, the properties are situated on an average of 0.3 and 0.5 acres each, which feels much more substantial.
