About the Neighborhood
The Arrow Point/Battle Point neighborhood is situated on the northwestern side of Bainbridge Island. Arrow Point overlooks serene Manzanita Bay while Battle Point enjoys breathtaking Puget Sound and Olympic Mountain views. Given the proximity to the water, this area is well-known for boating and as such, many of the homes here have boat launches or docks. Additionally, those that live here have great access to scenic trails, like the Grand Forest and Battle Point Park. Battle Point Park was once home to a WW II naval radio transmission station but is now a popular park on Bainbridge Island. Situated on a beautiful 90 acres, it has a 2-mile running trail, 1.5 mile equestrian trail, tennis and pickle ball courts, a playground, soccer and baseball fields, a disc golf course, an observatory, a pea patch, and even a duck pond. Additionally, enjoy beach access to Manzanita Bay at Williams-Olson Park or via Fairy Dell Trail at the northern end of Battle Point Park. The Sea to Sky Trail connects Battle Point to the extensive Grand Forest trail system.
Other attractions include the Bainbridge Island Recreation Center and the Meadowmeer Golf Course, both of which are located along Koura Road, and the Bainbridge Yoga House located on Day Road. The nearest restaurant is Sawadty Thai Cuisine at the Island Center, and Eleven Winery is nearby on Day Road. Although Arrow Point and Battle Point feel remote, it’s actually just a 10-minute drive from Winslow, Bainbridge Island’s downtown hub, and the Seattle ferry. Given its excellent location along the water and its proximity to downtown Bainbridge, who wouldn’t want to call this place home?
FUN FACT: The Fairy Dell Trail was used to film “the cedar stump scene” in the movie, Snow Falling on Cedars, which was based on a book by the same name written by David Gutterson, a famous author from Bainbridge Island.
