About the Neighborhood
Located on one of the highest and sunniest spots on Bainbridge Island, this area is convenient to Winslow, the Seattle Ferry, and the Agate Pass Bridge with easy access to Highway 305. Not only does it offer the amenities of Meadowmeer Golf & Country Club, which include golf privileges, but there is also the Meadowmeer Bar & Grill, a stocked trout pond, a sledding hill, and a bridle trail. The Grand Forest entrance is also nearby. Encompassing 240 acres, this spectacular park offers islanders 8 miles of trails and is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers year-round.
The cross-island trail system cuts through the center of the island and the Grand Forest, as well as Battle Point Park on the west side. At just under five miles long, this trail system is ideal for walkers and bikers, as well as residents who enjoy taking in the island’s sights and beautiful views of the Seattle skyline and Mt. Rainier from certain vantage points.
Next door to the Meadowmeer Country Club House is the Bainbridge Island Recreation Center, which has an outdoor pool, indoor tennis courts, a racket ball court, a weight room, and fitness and youth classes. Also nearby are the Hazel Creek Montessori School, Bainbridge Gardens, and Sawatdy Thai Restaurant. While not on the water, homes here tend to have beautiful views of the well-tended fairways and, being that you’re on an island, water is never far away.
